I had my appointment for financial assistance for housing on 10/8/2025 at which time I was provided with a checklist of the required documents needed for my landlord to receive the payment that I was awarded. I submitted all the documents and when I called to find out about picking up the check I was given the runaround and told that a supervisor had to call me back and that never happened. Being in a position of needing assistance is stressful enough, but when you have to deal with persons that aren't fully transparent makes things even more stressful. I just don't understand how you go from receiving documentation that you're approved for a certain amount of assistance to not receiving communication. I have to catch a ride there which I explained to the front desk lady (Clara??) so I did not want to make an unnecessary trip, but still received no courtesy.

I had a very disappointing experience here. I came in expecting genuine financial assistance, but the process was not transparent at all. Important details were never explained upfront, and I only learned about the requirements and limitations after wasting a significant amount of my time. When you’re seeking support, the least you should receive is honesty and clear communication. Unfortunately, this organization did not deliver either. I would not recommend them to anyone looking for reliable financial help. It felt misleading and unorganized, and I left with nothing close to the help I was promised. If you value honesty and clear communication, I would look elsewhere.

I visited a friend who lives in Sandy Springs. She invited me to go with her to a local food Pantry that she visits. I've been to food pantries before, but what I witnessed was AMAZING! This is no regular Pantry. I felt like I was in a regular grocery store. The selection and variety of foods and health and hygiene items had me awestruck. I plan to speak to a few community Pantry organizers in Tampa, Florida to show them what a Pantry should look like. I loved this experience. Thank you also to the volunteers who answered my questions.
